Where are the men?

The billion dollar question running through hundreds (maybe thousands) of women’s minds: “Where the men at?” or better yet, “Where are the Godly REAL men?”

Maybe they’ve been taken captive on a remote island and all the lines of communication have been destroyed. Maybe they’ve been trying to get home but they haven’t been able to escape their abductors, so now we’re stuck with all the less-than men. That’s a nice thought. Sometimes I’d rather pretend they’ve been kidnapped, than to actually face reality.

So, where are the men? Yes, I do believe they’ve been taken captive, but not on a remote island far away. I think they’ve been taken captive right here in front of us. Who is their kidnapper? Sin.

Ladies, we can come up with a million and one reasons why the men aren’t stepping up to the plate. They’re not reading their bibles, they’re too wrapped up in work, all they care about is the game (sports), all they want is sex, they’re not attending church, etc. We can make a long list of the men’s failures. But the bottom line is….. the problem is still SIN. It has been a problem since Adam and Eve.

People (men and women alike) who are living in sin, are dead while they live. They might be walking and breathing, but they are spiritually DEAD. That’s why there’s so much evil going on in the world. They need to be made alive in Christ Jesus. It will take a move on their part. Jesus has already done His part. He already suffered, bled, was crucified, died on the cross and was raised from the dead on the third day. It is finished. There’s nothing else the Lord need do. Now it’s up to us to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can’t simply just stop sinning because we want to. First, we must be born again. Then we will be filled with the Holy Ghost, who also enables us to walk in the spirit, so we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The word of God says to be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Some of you might be thinking, what about all the good Godly men who serve in church? Aren’t they considered to be REAL men of God? Okaaaaay, sooooo… if you believe all the Godly men are in church, then you’re not wondering where they’re at. I personally haven’t found them in church buildings. In my honest opinion, a church-going man DOES NOT automatically mean he’s a God-fearing man. I’ve known plenty of men who attend church, serve in leadership, raise their hands, shout, and run all around the church – but their unfaithful, disloyal, and untrustworthy hypocrites. (But thank the Lord for faithful men of God!) People look at the outer appearance – ooooo he’s so fine, he drives a nice car, he’s doing this and that, he’s got it going on at work, he has a degree in fill-in-the-blank, he’s serving in the church – but God looks at the heart! The Lord said that people honor Him with their lips but their hearts are FAR from Him. The Lord doesn’t care about your stuff and that hyped religious show you put on. He wants your heart. So we must get to the heart of the issue. All men need to seek the Lord for themselves. Not an outward display, but seeking the Lord sincerely with all their heart. If men are in fact seeking the face of the Lord, the enemy is putting up one heck of a fight to block men from EVER standing up and taking their rightful place as LEADERS and priests of God.

We look to the men for provision, protection, and direction. But they are only human, right? The bible tells us not to put our trust in humans anyway. We are supposed to look to Jesus for everything. He is our rock and our strength and our fortress! Ladies, we must ALWAYS trust the Lord. Let’s be women of God in our actions and our words. Instead of complaining about the lack of men, let’s do something about it. We won’t walk around with our heads down and our hearts broken. We turn to the word of God for hope. The word of God tells us to pray so… Let’s pray for the men! Click here to pray with me for the men.

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Here’s a great example of a courageous Godly man standing up for his faith.

Here’s another beautiful example of a brave man of God preaching the gospel to strangers.

Here’s a powerful testimony of a brother in Christ, on how the Lord changed his life.

And an example of a man who stood up when things were getting out of hand.

P.S. God created us women to help, and in this present time, the men desperately need our help in prayer. Let’s keep praying ladies!

Fear immobilizes. I used to be so afraid to speak the truth, afraid of losing fans, followers, friends, likes, and afraid that people fearwould unlike my page. I’m an artist/ musician so this was highly important to me. It was very easy for the devil to use FEAR to shut me up. Now, because I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ with a new direction in life from my Heavenly Father, I see that souls are perishing. And I’m no longer afraid of people, especially people who are DEAD MEN WALKING.

It does me no good to post positive happy feely stuff all day long, like I used to. It certainly doesn’t compel anyone to want to come OUT of the world and follow Jesus Christ. I’d say stuff like: “Go get it,” “Live your dreams,” “Don’t let them haters stop you.” “Follow your heart.” “This is your time to shine.”

I used to say all those things cause I WAS LIVING IT. Yes, I was a walking example of someone who was ambitious, determined, driven, and positively on the WRONG path leading to HELL.

But now you hear me saying, “Repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.” That’s because if you die and go to Hell, it will be far too late to repent. And what did I say to warn you? Woe unto me if I preach Not the gospel. This life, this moment, this day – might be your last opportunity to repent. You might not get a “death bed” experience. You trying to time it just right? God may snatch you up out of here instantly. Too late.

I love you. But Jesus Christ, whom died for you, loves you more than I do. God is not willing that any should perish. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Hell has no way of escape. Stop playing with your life. Your soul is priceless.

A fearLESS woman of God

You’re Pretty. So What?

Being beautiful is a blessing from God. Many of us want to be acknowledged for our beauty and we love it when others remind us that we still “got it”. But some of us forget that outer beauty is passing. Eventually it will fade.

All the Botox and cosmetic surgery in the world can’t keep us young forever. This is why it is important that our inner beauty surpasses the beauty seen only with eyes.

Many of us believe that the world owes us something because we “look good.”  That is great that you love yourself and know your self-worth, but no one owes you worship. We were made to worship God, not our possessions and certainly not ourselves. Whatever you place your time and focus on will become your god, which is an idol.

God is not pleased when His children exalt themselves. He wants us to be humble. When did we become so unladylike, as to place ourselves higher than the next daughter of God? Even though you may not say it aloud, what are you saying in your heart?

You are pretty. You are gorgeous. You are wonderful. Don’t let it go to your head. It saddens me when I hear ladies saying things about themselves – exalting themselves above all other women. If you claim to be a woman of God, then don’t miss this verse:

“…not to think of [your]self more highly than [you] ought to think” (Romans 12:3)

Don’t think of yourself MORE HIGHLY than you should think. A virtuous woman of God is a humble woman of God. Not a boastful, prideful woman who sets herself above the rest. People will smell the foul stench of pride on you, and won’t want to be around you. The bible says that God resists the proud. Do you really want God to resist you? That’s not a good thing.

We go shopping for outfits, planning to “look” better than all of the other women in the room. (Trust me, I’ve done it too!) Secretly we’re competing against others, as we compare ourselves to the standards of this world. Why? What are the intentions of your heart? To gain attention? We need to learn to be content with the way God made us and love ourselves without being haughty and high-minded. Forget about the standards of the world. TV beauty is deceptive. Celebrities and magazine models do not have perfect bodies. You want to look beautiful like the celebrities? Even the celebrities WISH they look as half as good as they look on TV. But they certainly know it takes plenty of make up and surgery to look flawless – and even AFTER ALL THAT they still aren’t the image of perfection. Have you ever heard of Adobe Photoshop?

Stop comparing yourself to an unrealistic interpretation of beauty. If we spent less time and money on beyonce-kiss-mirror-600x300high-fashion clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, designer bags, and trying to “fit in” this superficial world – we could spend valuable time on increasing our inner beauty. Your value is not wrapped up in the material things that you own. Submitting to our fleshly desires will result in devaluing our own inner beauty. What are you worth?  If your self-worth is equivalent to what you look like, then your value is diminishing every day that you live. Focus more on building the eternal character of our inner person so our true beauty will shine through. Let’s look at what God’s word says:

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 1 Peter 3:3-4

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made – Psalm 139:14

Beautiful daughters, I pray this blesses you and reminds you of your worth in Christ!

With love,

Your sister in Christ
