Not Just Any Bible

What’s the big deal with all these different bible versions? Surely the devil wouldn’t EVER dream of tampering with the word of God? Or….. would he? I use the King James Version, not because I’m old school and I just like old stuff (although I do love throw-back everything), but because the Lord has revealed to me that the devil has in-fact stuck his paws into the word of God. How, you ask? By introducing newer “modern” versions to subtly infiltrate millions of churches and homes. I used to be all for the updated bibles because I thought they only changed “thee” and “thou” in the King James. But after learning that every single “modern” version removes hundreds of words and several verses from the bible, and even change who Jesus Christ is – I said ENOUGH.

2 Corinthians 2:11

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So I went back to using the King James. If the only difference between the KJV and the “modern” version bibles were “thee,” “thou,” “doth,” and “hath” then I’d say no big deal, use whichever bible you like. But no, these changes are vast. To me, that sounds like slick Satan. It’s subtle changes, but there are many many many changes. And what Christian is okay with hundreds of changes in the bible? What Christian is okay with removing verses? How about changing Jesus Christ into a mere prophet? How about denying Jesus Christ as the Son of God? How about denying that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh? No, I am not okay with those changes.

Revelation 22:18-19

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So that’s why I choose to use the archaic/outdated/too-hard-to-understand good ole’ King James Bible. And you should too. I pray the Lord reveals to the truth to you and I pray you change your mind. Here’s a few links that lay out many changes in the modern version bibles:
