When I Was Catholic

I was baptized by the Catholic Church as an infant, attended Catholic schools, was born and raised in the Catholic faith, received Confirmation (initiation), and First Communion ceremony, etc.

The Lord called me out of the Catholic Church when I was 16 years old. I remember like it was yesterday. One of my good friends in high school also attended the same Catholic church that I attended. So she was one of my closest friends at church.¬†One day she just stopped coming to church and of course I noticed. At school I confronted her about not attending Mass anymore. She refused to tell me why, but said she prayed that the Lord would show me Himself. Well, I didn’t like that answer at all. So I went home all sad and discouraged that my closest friend in church had left. And now I had to trust God to show me because she simply refused to tell me. ūüė¶

I prayed earnestly to my Heavenly Father and then opened my bible and began to read. The Lord answered our prayers and showed me verse after verse after verse on WHY the Catholic Church is not approved by God. The word answered my many questions. The Catholic Church, according to the bible, is in complete contradiction to the word of God.

Mark 7:9
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mark 7:13
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

MW4I¬†was shocked! Being raised in the church for 16 years and NO ONE ever told me this. Smh. I was hurt and couldn’t understand WHY¬†the Catholic church DIDN’T align itself with the word of God. Why the idols? Why the prayers to Mary? Why the worship and exaltation of “Mother” Mary? Why the prayers to Saint Peter, Saint Joseph, Saint Christopher and other dead Saints? Why confess my sins to a man (the priests) instead of Jesus? Why sermons vaguely use the bible? Why do penance instead of repent and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ? Why teach purgatory when it’s not in the bible? Why forbid the priests and nuns to marry? Why cause these men (priests) to defile themselves with nuns and usher boys and others, when the bible says that marriage is good? Why call the priests “Father” and the pope “Holy Father”, when the bible says call no one on earth Father except your FATHER in Heaven. Why does the Church exalt the pope as Jesus? Why did the church I love, knowingly do the opposite of what God commands?

1 Timothy 4:1-3

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

So after the Lord showed me the TRUTH about the Catholic Church, I told my mother what the Lord revealed to me and asked if we could leave Catholicism behind. She took heed to my words. We left Catholicism and never looked back.

Jeremiah 17:5
Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Over time I began to see more and more what’s been going on behind the scenes and it’s satanic infiltration of the Body of Christ. Catholicism is not the same as Christianity. It looks Christian on the surface and it carries the name of Jesus Christ, but the leaders of Catholicism do not follow Jesus Christ nor the bible.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

If you are Catholic and you love your church, you love your Catholic faith, consider this:
It would be a major disappointment to find out AFTER this life that NONE of your good works helped you to gain eternal life. Salvation is by FAITH through grace, and not of yourself, lest any man should boast. My friend, you cannot work your way or earn your way into heaven. Being a nice caring giving person like Mother Theresa won’t ensure your spot in Heaven. Mary is not listening to anyone’s prayers, nor can she answer them. The Pope cannot answer prayers and he cannot grant salvation. If the Pope speaks a blessing over your life and promises that you will inherit eternal life in Heaven, do not believe him. The Pope does not have the power or authority to save anyone. He cannot even save himself. Only salvation through the blood shed of Jesus Christ can save you. Believe in the finished work of the cross, my friend. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead on the 3rd day. Realize that you do not deserve heaven. Your good deeds on this earth is not enough “goodness” to get you in. We are all filthy sinners deserving HELL, including Pope Francis! We all need Jesus Christ. No one is exempt.

If you were born and raised Catholic, like me, I pray you seek Jesus Christ for yourself. Get alone with God. Go in your prayer closest (go see the movie War Room) and spend one on one time – just you and Jesus. I know it’s hard to break traditions that we’ve done our whole lives, but if God is not pleased with your tradition, then it’s time to put that stuff down. Put it down. God hates it! God is a jealous God and He does not accept idolatry. He does not approve of human worship, dead-Saint worship, Mary worship, statue worship, demon worship, or any worship except to Him. He doesn’t want your rosary prayers. He wants you! God wants your heart. God wants your life. You can’t be equally surrendered to the devil and to Jesus. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Open your bible and read it my friend. I pray that you truly¬†want Jesus Christ MORE than you want your church, your traditions and your religion. If it’s leading you to Hell, don’t you think it’s time to let it go? So what if people talk. Let them talk. Better to fear God than man. It’s time to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Repent and seek the Lord Jesus today, while you still have breath in your lungs.

With love,
A very concerned woman of God

P.S. When the Lord showed me the truth, Youtube didn’t exist. You are blessed. Here’s a few videos I recommend you to watch:

Called To Serve

The whole point of this blog is to show you, using scripture, that it is the Lord who calls us and appoints us to our position in the body of Christ, not people and not ourselves. Man’s influence should not cause you to jump into something that the Lord did not send you to do. Likewise, the traditions of men should not hinder you from doing what the Lord called you to do.

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Who calls and chooses one to become a pastor, an apostle, a bishop, an evangelist, a prophet, a missionary and a minister of Jesus Christ? According to the bible, it is Jesus Christ Himself and God the Father who calls and sets those in our place in the body of Christ. The LORD places us in the school of the Holy Ghost and Word of God from the moment HE saved us.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Many people, both men and women alike, think that God is looking for leaders. When the Lord called Moses, He didn’t call him because Moses was this great noble leader. Moses was actually afraid. Read¬†Exodus 4:10¬†And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.¬†Moses had excuses for days, but the Lord called Moses to do His will,¬†so it didn’t matter if Moses thought he wasn’t qualified. Many people in the church think they have to be qualified and mighty and wise¬†and ready to lead. But when you read the bible, you will see that MANY people whom the Lord called were not mighty. Read

1 Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.
Many of God’s “chosen” were average everyday people like you and I, who truly loved the Lord and believed God. David was just a youth when he went up against Goliath. No one, not even the king who sent him, thought he could defeat the giant. Guess what? David knew that he couldn’t take on Goliath, but he trusted God. Read¬†2 Samuel 5:19¬†And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless¬†deliver the Philistines into thine hand. ¬†
David believed God. Our Heavenly Father is not looking for might and strength. He knows very well who’s strong. He is looking for a heart that trusts in Him, seeks Him and loves Him.¬†Psalm 53:2¬†God¬†looked¬†down¬†from¬†heaven¬†upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.¬†So if you have the heart of a lion, that’s awesome. But remember that God raised up David because he was a man after God’s own heart. You lead well, but can you love¬†well? Jesus said he that is greatest among you, let him be as a servant. Called to serve.
Luke 22:26¬†… but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.¬†For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
John 12:26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

I am not called to pastor or lead a church or plant churches anywhere – as a woman that’s not my place in the body of Christ. I do know, 100% without a doubt, that I am called by God to do His will as a member of the body of Christ. We, Christians, are all CALLED according to Matthew 22: 14, but few are CHOSEN. I don’t know if I’m the shoulder or fingers or backbone or thigh¬†or knee caps. I know that I have been called by God to do my part in the body of Christ.naming_1 I may not be a pastor or an evangelist or prophetess, but my part in the body is no LESS important. My role is just as important as the next. When I look at the members of my own body, I recognize that they are all important. My ears are just as important as my elbows. My neck is just as important as my ankles. My whole body and all its member are individually super important and I wouldn’t want to live without any body part. But I have. I know what it’s like to temporarily lose hearing in my right ear. It’s so annoying! Also, I have had my nostrils stopped up. Even though I can still breathe through my mouth, it’s not the same as breathing through my nose. I need my wittle nose. I felt completely off-balanced, as if I was going to stop breathing in my sleep. I couldn’t smell anything. I’d hold one nostril and try to suck in air really hard – because my nose is THAT important. My nose is not my hand. My nose is not my foot. My nose is not my eye. So because my nose can’t hear anything or see or pick up objects, is it less important? No way!
Just like in the body of Christ, you may not be the mouth (preaching in the pulpit) or the hands (deacon), but does that make you less important? No way! Here’s my point: we should be content with our Calling in the body of Christ and not covet other roles simply because that “body part” seems more important. YOU are important. Your role is important, no matter what part in the body you are. ¬†If I was missing a hand or both hands, I could still live. I’d be disabled, somewhat, but I’d still be alive. Think about this. We can’t see our liver or heart or kidneys or lungs, but guess what? If you were missing any of those body parts – you’d die! So even those of us who are behind the scenes that no one can see, we are still important. If the Lord called you to be the elbow, then praise the Lord! Don’t say the elbow is not important, so I want to be the shoulder. Do what the Lord created you to do and be happy about it. It hurts my heart when I see people in the body of Christ who jump into roles that God never called them to step into. It also hurts me when I see them covet the role of pastor because the pastor gets all the attention and recognition, while other roles in the body of Christ are not as highly esteemed, so they want to fill those shoes. If God didn’t call you to lead a church then be content with the role you have, my friend. Being pastor is not what we think. That’s a very hard job and HUGE responsibility.

Brain Carn and Benny HinnI know many people who want the title “Prophet” and “Pastor” and “Bishop” and “Evangelist,” so they can be applauded by men. God takes it very serious and holds those people even MORE accountable because they are responsible for leading people’s souls. Do you know what God says to those shepherds who don’t take Him seriously?

Ezekiel 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? Full chapter here.

Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

oprah magPretty serious. So, not everyone should hastily jump¬†to become a pastor/apostle/prophet of God just because it sounds like a good idea, or because church folk¬†are pressuring¬†you to be ordained, or simply because you agree with the bible. Oprah Winfrey agrees with the bible too, but she doesn’t do what the Lord Jesus says do. Jesus said repent, but Oprah says do whatever way makes you feel “alive.” ¬†Agreeing with the bible, having a love for people and ministry, attending seminary school, and memorizing thousands of scripture IS AWESOME, but that doesn’t automatically give you authority to lead the flock of Jesus Christ or qualify you to teach others¬†to understand the bible. Theology school is a man-made tradition for those who seek bible education and/or ordination. But the bible says you must be born-again. Being born again, filled with the Holy Ghost¬†is what enables you to speak with boldness and authority to go out and preach, not school. Leading the flock without being born again and Spirit-led is putting the cart before the horse. Jesus first!

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

wolf-in sheeps clothingCan a person attend a bible school and inspire others¬†as pastor? Yes. But is God concerned whether you’re inspiring people as pastor or not? ¬†I’m sure there are numerous faithful spirit-filled preachers who have their theology degree. Being converted and led by the Spirit of God is what is important. Having a degree in theology is not what saves souls. Personally knowing the Living Word (Jesus Christ) and preaching His gospel is what saves souls. The Holy Ghost¬†leads us and guides us into all truth. Without the Holy Spirit one can easily be deceived and even deceiving others. Those people are good at talking the “talk” but they don’t walk the talk. Outwardly they look like sheep, but inwardly their heart is far from God. An example of this would be¬†Michael Aus, a former Christian Pastor turned atheist. Aus has head knowledge of the bible, years of formal bible schooling, and years in the pulpit leading a congregation, but no true faith in Christ. This former pastor, Michael Aus, walked away from Christianity because he was a false convert who¬†never knew the love of Jesus Christ Lord, nor truly believed . He was ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. He was never truly saved. He was a powerless shepherd leading the gullible sheep to the slaughter. Why do I label this former pastor turned atheist a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Because he gained the trust of the sheep, he led the sheep, he spoke like a true shepherd of the sheep – but he really didn’t love God at all. And not only that, now he’s speaking at various conferences with the goal of drawing Christians away from the faith… because he never had faith. That, my friend, is a wolf. He just decided to take off the sheep’s clothing. Very disturbing.

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

In my opinion, seminary/divinity¬†school can be a dangerous place for any man or woman of God. Why? Because you learn how to be a minister,¬†how to talk like a minister and how to carry yourself like a leader. Completing man’s checklist, which is outward, but what God requires is inward. Besides, if God didn’t send you then you’re training for nothing. Anyone can get their degree and go become a pastor/overseer/shepherd of the flock. Education can undermine the authentic. If there’s no heart conversion then seminary is pointless. You go in, you learn the bible, you learn to be religious, you graduate and then are sent out to LEAD the flock. That’s dangerous. Jesus wants disciples who love Him and love His sheep. Not saying you can’t do both. I know people who are both – bible educated and love Jesus. But the real test is not in school and it’s not necessarily behind the pulpit. The real test is real life!

Do you love God? Then feed His sheep. How do you feed them? With the truth. What truth? God’s word. How do you know God’s word? By reading it. What if I don’t have faith? Keep reading God’s word and ask Him to increase your faith.

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Galatians 3:5-6 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

The videos below are not to discourage you from attending seminary, but it is to inform you that it’s not absolutely necessary. Not one apostle in the bible went to Apostleship Academy before or after the Lord called them. The only One you need is Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is absolutely NECESSARY!

With love,
Lady Rho
