Today a little one asked me if Santa Claus is really real. Of course I told her the truth. “No sweetie, he’s not real.”
She then replied, “My mommy said you shouldn’t tell me that Santa isn’t real cause it will ruin my childhood.” (Smart answer for a 5 year old.)
I then replied, “Sorry to break it to you sweetie, but he’s not real.”
She started to cry real tears. I felt kinda bad, like the horrible grown up who messed up their fairy-tale. Who feels shameful for telling the TRUTH? People try to make you feel bad for telling kids the TRUTH!
I softly asked her, “Does believing that Santa is real make you feel better?” She shook her head Yes.
Then I said to her, “Listen, if you want to believe in Santa Claus I’m not going to stop you. I’m just telling you the truth. But you can believe whatever you want.”
She lifted up her head, dried up her tears and smiled. She was happy to know that she was free to continue believing her illusion of Santa Claus. (Just like people believe who vaccines are good for disease prevention and voting Dem/Rep really makes a difference – It’s an ILLUSION!)
FYI, I’m not gonna lie to your children, so don’t send em’ my way and expect me to continue what you started. I will not partake in your Santa fables. Sorry, not sorry.
This is what has happened to the generations of today. They live in fantasy land as children, then grow up (not really) to become adults who still live in a fairy-tale land. Life is all about MEEEEEEEEEEEE and what I choose to believe. Video games (fake), movies (fake), TV shows (fake), pro sports (some are fake), Award Shows (fake), WWE (fake), news (fake), voting system (fake), chemo-therapy effectiveness (fake), vaccine effectiveness (fake), celebrity entertainment (fake), U.S. paper money (backed by nothing), college/education system (scam), prosperity gospel (fake), and all sorts of things that are non-reality. Adults thoroughly train children to accept illusions as children (i.e. Christmas, Santa Claus, Easter eggs, bunnies, tooth-fairy) and by the time they are grown they’re already prepped & primed to believe every other illusion as truth – and of course passing it down to their children.
These are all lies that have been spread from generation to generation. Children are being lied to about the flying Fictional bearded man in the red suit who knows when you’re sleeping, awake, naughty and nice. And can deliver gifts to everyone in the whole world in one night? Who is this guy? Nobody is omniscient and omnipresent except the Lord God Almighty.
So I have been trying to figure this out. Is it wrong to LIE to children, except if you’re lying about Santa Claus? To protect their childhood? And is God okay with this lying? Does He give Americans a “pass” to LIE about Santa? God hates lies. Santa Claus is a LIE. What does Santa have to do with the birth of Jesus Christ? Nothing.
Parents, please stop making excuses: “I’m protecting my kid’s childhood. Believing in Santa won’t harm them.” You want to protect their childhood? Teach them the TRUTH. Spend time with them. Discipline them. Be an ACTIVE present parent. Love your spouse in front of your children. Stay together. Pray together. Love your children. Train them up in the word of God, to love and obey the Lord Jesus Christ.
STOP LYING. Satan is a LIAR and the father of it.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a LIE, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the way, the TRUTH and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus – the TRUTH.
Your sister in Christ
